1pt win JAUNTY TIMES 15/1( Betfair) Midlands Grand National
1 pt win BARON WINDRUSH 14/1 ( Generally available) Midlands Grand National
1 pt win THE OUTLIER 28/1 ( Betfair) Midlands Grand National

Lots of possibilities here. You've got the progressive and consistent pair of Parkinson and Jaunty Times who are unproven in this sort of grade. Then you have a large number of good standard, marathon runners who run in and out of form. Of the young progresive types Parkinson has been placed to win some soft events. Jaunty Times has faced better opponents, has a likeable attitude, and has plenty of improvement left. Bradburne gets along well with him it would seem that Johnson has not been given the choice of which to ride.

Baron Windrush was a highly promising young stayer a few seasons back but, similar to many young long distance performers, went on the decline soon after. However, he came back to something near his best last time and is of interest. It's not the first time his trainer has managed to bring a once promising young marathon chasers back from obscurity, and he can follow up with another big effort here. It's stretching the imagination a bit to say that Turpin's Green run yesterday boosts the hopes of The Outlier. But this Roselier looks the type for this sort of race. He can perform away from Haydock, and would have bee much shorter but for his effort last time. He is worth speculative support at current odds on the exchanges.
