1pt each way OUT OF THE BLACK 10/1 ( generally available) Betdirect Handicap Chase

Has clearly been difficult to train having had only eight outings in a three and a half year career. Fitness will not be an issue though. He was only 5/2 to win that novice chase won by Cornish Rebel, and although interuption has prevented him from progressing as one would have expected; he gives the indication that he retains most of his ability and must surely figure in a race were most of the contestants have negatives all over them.

2pts win BOLD FIRE 7/1 ( Betfair) EBF Mares Novice Chase Final
1pt win PETITE MARGOT 7/1 ( 2 Firms) EBF Mares Novive Chase Final

Things have not gone to plan for Bold Fire on her last two outings, but she remains a promising individual who time show may is a league above these rivals. Petite Margot was thrashed in a Chepstow slog last time out. Prior to that, she had shown signs of being as good as she was before her long lay off, and when you consider that she hit a peak rating of 135 over hurdles, it's clear that she may well be a well handicapped individual.

1 pt win APOLLO LADY 11.5/1 ( Betfair) EBF Mares Novice Hurdle Final

There is plenty more to come from this mare. The Henderson horse who beat her in what looked a hot novice hurdle for Fakenham last time is probably considerably better than her subsequent outing indicates. Apollo Lady has had this event as her long term target, and is worth support under today's 5lb claimer who struck up a successful partnership with her in her bumper races.
