1.5 pts each way SILVERBURN 5/1 ( generally available) Ballymore Properties Novices Hurdle

Silverburn will surely not be out of the frame here. He's a fine chance of winning this, provided Aran Concerto is not the showstopper that he's been hyped up to be. He's had a more pleasing long term preparation than My Turn Now, and De Soto has given the Tolworth form a terrific boost with his run here yesterday.

2 pts win VOY POR USTEDES 5/1 ( Befair) Queen Mother Champion Chase

Withoubt doubt the value call at present odds. A thoroughly, likeable, reliable high class animal, the Arkle he won would no doubt now have looked stonewall solid if some of the competitors had not been subject to misfortune in the time that has since passed. He looked a likely winner of this race after that event, and he can be expected to jump more fluently on a course what clearly suits him. Not many chasers of the highest class return to their very best after a long lay off ( in recent times perhaps only Cyfor Malta and First Gold), and Well Chief's Newbury return was undermined by his rivals failing to produce their best, or failing to complete. The jury remains out on him for the time being.

1pt win COPSALE LAD 12/1 ( three firms) Coral Cup
1pt win OSCATELLO 12/1 ( Betfair) Coral Cup
1pt win DUSKY LORD 40/1 ( generally available on exchanges) Coral Cup

Copsale Lad can handle himself in these big fields and looked as good as ever last time. The stable's horses acquitted themselves really well yesterday and this gelding will not be far away. The drying ground will not hinder him. Oscatello has his first run for the Hobbs yard and he's no doubt had this as his target for some time. Showed he has a touch of quality about him when beating Turko and Boychuk here last April and give's the strong impression that he's better than his handicap mark suggests. It will be disappointing if his new yard cannot improve him further.
Dusky Lord is another who will appreciate the drying ground. Lightly raced still a bit of an unknown quantity, he has always given the impresson that there's a valuable prize in him somewhere and is worthy of speculative support.

1pt win MALETTON 16.5/1 ( Betfair) Kim Muir Chase
1pt win PARSON'S LEGACY 17/1 (Betfair) Kim Muir Chase

Maletton is a progressive type who faced an impossible task at the weights when beaten by Lucifer Bleu last time. It's a little worrying that the trainer has been favouring right handed right handed tracks with him, but at current odds there are less negatives than you would expect and he should put in a bold showing racing near the front. Parson's Legacy is another Hobbs horse who appears to have been laid out for a race here. He can boast some very useful course form, has the assistance of a competent amateur, and should runvery well.
